My name is Ijemera,
I’m 20 years old and I’m from Philadelphia,Pa. I would say I do really well with children of all ages. However I currently have no training nor certificates. I do have FBI clearances, and I have worked in a daycare before and I also volunteered at a couple whilst growing up. I plan on working on getting all of the training I need and also certificates for completion of the training.
I have babysat children outside of my family multiple times, and I believe I do very well around children, they seem to like me as well and that’s what is important to me. SOMETHING I WOULD LIKE TO ADD IS THAT I AM MUSLIM, NO I DO NOT TALK OF MY RELIGION WHILE AT WORK NOR DO I PUSH MY BELIEFS ON CHILDREN, OR ANYONE ELSE! BUT IF THEY ASK ME A QUESTION I WILL ANSWER THE QUESTION HONESTLY only because children are very curious and ignoring questions from them will make them not want to ask questions later on in life and I would hate to be the blame of that.

I plan on being able to babysit for a family for at least more than a year, I don’t just want to be the person who comes and leaves. I want a connection, a special bond between not only the family but the children whom I will be with and if there’s no bond between the babysitter and the child then something’s completely wrong.

I do not drive and I also do not have a license, I know how to catch public Transportation very well, but I prefer to use UberX, that way if I have to run an errand with a child or the children we would have the car to ourselves and we would get the errand done in a timely manner.

In highschool I volunteered to help with Special needs children. I helped with things like feeding, giving medication to them oral meds, I was not allowed to give injections took them on walks. Me and 5 other highschoolers were accompanied by 3 adults, we would push their wheelcheers outside and walk around the school 3 times each on nice days. If it was cloudy or seemed like it was going to rain, snow, etc. we would stay inside and play games with them.
