For the past 5 years I’ve worked in early childhood settings as an assistant teacher and worked over the summer facilitating classes and tutoring in a summer program. My background is in psychology and I completed my masters in Mental Health Counseling this May and I have an interest to continue to pursue work and study in Family, Marriage and Early Intervention. I have planned school lessons that integrate arts and mindfulness practices that allow children to become more self aware and express themselves through different outlets. I am a believer that all children are unique and their learning styles/way of life as well, therefore through different forms of engagement you can allow the child to develop at their own pace. When working with children I take into consideration their individuality and make sure that learning is enjoyable and relatable to their needs. I like to work toward each goal and find the most appropriate way to accomplish them.
