Hello! My name French so it is a little confusing, but it is pronounced Anye. I currently attend Temple for Early Childhood and special education dual certification. I have been working with children since I was a child, as I grew up in a family of educators. My favorite age group to work with is kindergarten, but I enjoy teaching toddlers as well. I love sensory and STEAM activities, especially art! In my free time, I paint, read, scour Pinterest for inspiration, and brainstorm fun lesson plans for my students. I believe children learn the best when they can experience and talk about what they have learned.

My education related experience includes the following:

Program Assistant at Tree House Books in Philadelphia, PA. At THBs I work with low income children from the neighborhood school designing lessons, offering one on one and group tutoring, and planning and supporting field trips. I worked with THBs from December 2018 to July 2020.

I offer private tutoring to children ages 6 to 12 from 2018 to the present. I tutor Maths, Science, English, and Phonics instruction.

I have been a camp counselor at the Franklin Institute from May 2019 to February 2020. I worked with children ages 4 to 8 creating and performing STEM lesson plans, facilitating field trips, and engaging children in interactive read alouds.

I have experience in grades kindergarten to high school seniors due to Practicum courses, student teaching, and my time as a high school mentor and tutor.

I will earn my ECE and Special Education dual certification in December 2020 after completing my final semester of student teaching at Temple University!

During quarantine, I spent most of my time balancing online courses, remote work, and watching my one year old cousin. I am looking forward to meeting new families, teaching new activities, and supporting any and every child I come across in their social-emotional and cognitive development. I am an avid believer in learning by doing and meeting children where they are emotionally and mentally. Vygotskys theory on social-emotional development and the zone of proximal development is my guide for teaching and interacting with children of all ages. Every child deserves patience, support, and multiple opportunities to express what they know and wish to learn in optimal environments.
