Hi! My name is Verona and I’ve been in the childcare business for 12 years now. I’ve parlayed my love of children into a degree! I’m enrolled in Brooklyn College working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Art Education. I’ll be finishing my degree in December with a Dual Certification in both Special Education and General Education (birth to second grade).

I love children and I love being able to use all that I’ve learned in school to help families and help children develop and reach their full potential (on a more personal level than school). I’ve worked with both public school children and private school children and with families ranging from one child to four!

I have experience working with all ages and have completed all relevant courses in infant care and development, toddler care and development, and early elementary-age care and development. I also have experience with sleep training, toilet training, and establishing, teaching, and enforcing bathing, grooming, and mealtime routines.

I love cooking with children, board games, arts and crafts, reading, writing, math, science, etc. I have an arsenal of cheap (and educational) crafts and projects to brighten up any rainy day (or COVID-19 quarantined day). I also have experience tutoring and supplementing the school curriculum with at-home activities, customized worksheets, and educational games.
