Hello, I’m Skyla!

I’m from Texas, am 22 years old, have a passion for healthy living, exploring the outdoors, visual arts and empowering children to become the best versions of themselves :-) I have a combined 5 years of experience in childcare. Throughout these years I have professionally nannied (full-time and part-time), regularly babysat, instructed sewing & art classes and directed an after-school enrichment program. Ive cared for ages pre-k through 5th and am comfortable working with multiples. In addition to my experience, I have undergone 40+ hours of formal training in child development as was required by childcare liscensing through my previous managerial position. This strengthened my familiarity with developmental milestones and reasonable behavior expectations according to age group or developmental level. With this being said, I also recognize no two children to be the same and that it is rare one method within the parenting realm is universally applicable or effective. I do practice attached, respectful and empathetic parenting and hold value in fostering individuality and strong executive function.
