I am a senior in NYU’s Undergraduate Creative Writing/English Literature program. I have been babysitting for almost ten years, and I have experience caring for all ages, from newborn infants to middle-school aged kids. My longest experience comes from my time as a full-time nanny to two elementary school girls for a summer, from 9 to 5 everyday, and from my time as a weekly babysitter for a three year old boy and one year old girl. I was an after-school tutor for elementary and middle school students for about one year. Lastly, I volunteered as a teacher assistant for two years once weekly in a kindergarten classroom in the city. I love to cook, and frequently enjoy making elaborate, complicated recipes. I am a writer of fiction, poetry and theater, and I also play guitar and piano. I love to exercise frequently, anything from running to weightlifting to boxing. Anything fun and challenging! My goal as a caretaker is to be kind, patient and respectful to children of all ages. I will never talk down to your child, but just as I would any other person, with understanding and compassion. I hope, most of all, to form a lasting friendship with them and be someone they can always count on.
