Hi! My name is Becca and I am a 26-year old theater artist born and raised in New York City. I have worked with children and young people ages 3-15 in various capacities as a babysitter, summer camp counselor, after-school leader and movement teacher. I am passionate about activating the mind and body both inside and outside the home with imaginative play and curiosity. As an actor and writer, I have cultivated the ability to help foster young people’s inherent capacity to create and express themselves through storytelling, movement, song and making sense of the world around them. As a graduate of Hunter High School and Oberlin College with a BA in Comparative Literature and Hispanic Studies, I am a critical thinker with an appetite for new ideas and I am fluent in Spanish. I am prepared to offer age-appropriate care, both for recreational activities and homework help (math, reading/writing, Spanish, basic science, etc). I love to cook and write songs in my spare time. I am also deeply committed to social justice and making the world a better place through activism, art making and community-building. I look forward to meeting your family!
