I grew up on a Mas in the south of France. As a child I was nicknamed Wendy because I would always be at the center of my little neighbors, telling stories and organising the younger children into countless games. I pursued my love of stories by studying English Literature at the University of Oxford, and, after college, I qualified and worked as a childrens social worker in London. However I decided that I wanted to work in a more supportive role, and therefore completed a masters in psychology, specializing in child development.

Ive been working with children for 12 years, starting as a babysitter at age 13, when I befriended a neighboring family and offered to care for their children. Through word of mouth, I ended up spending 8 years working with a total of 14 children, aged 2 months to 16 years old. For the infants, I would change diapers and warm breast milk bottles; for the children, I would do school pick ups, imaginative playing, dinner and bedtime routines, and for the teens, I would provide tutoring and act as a mentor, helping them to develop their interests. During college, I set up a creative writing program for fifth graders, and provided academic support to ages 7 through 16. After graduating, I spent 2 years as a social worker, supporting children with a range of needs. During my masters, I helped to deliver animal activities to young children, engaging them in arts and crafts and encouraging safe play with the animals.

I feel blessed to have had a magical childhood, with supportive adults who helped me to discover my lifes passions from an early age; reading and story-telling, cooking, drawing, and the outdoors. To this day, I am at my happiest working away on some creative project, or going for a long run out in nature. I believe that each child is a unique and precious individual, and that carers can play a vital role in helping them to realize their tremendous potential. I see it as my role to provide a loving and supportive environment, and to encourage children to explore the full extent of their imagination and find their passions!
