Write a messageHi! My name is Madeline McNichols and I am a freshman at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, majoring in Drama. Back in my hometown of Milwaukee, WI, I babysat from age 13 until I graduated high school. I have been a sitter for a wide variety of children, ranging from 6 months old to 13 years old. From age 16-18, I was a regular babysitter for a family (from NYC!!) of three children (currently in 5th, 6th, and 7th grade). I also held a job during my senior year of high school at Drybar, a franchised hair salon in Milwaukee, where regular cleaning was a responsibility I upheld, something I am also comfortable doing in the home. I became CPR certified when I was 16 years old and have been an American Red Cross certified babysitter since age 13. In addition to babysitting, I also volunteered at our regional Children’s Theater in Milwaukee (First Stage Children’s Theater), working with and teaching children not only important theater techniques, but also leadership and community building skills. In addition to all of the valuable caring skills I’ve learned from my past experiences, I also just really enjoy being around children. I love to have fun, play games, and be creative. Aside from my creative and imaginative side, I also put an emphasis on education as I received a 33 on my ACT and attended University School of Milwaukee (a college prep school and the number 1 ranked private school in Wisconsin) from K4-12th grade. I am happy to also tutor children in middle/elementary school math, English/Language Arts, and French (received a 5 on my AP French exam).
While it may seem like I am new to the city, I can assure you that I am not! I know the city very well and have being going multiple times a year since I was 9. The areas I know extremely well are the Upper East Side, Upper West Side, and Greenwich Village, but I am familiar with other areas of the city as well. I am also very comfortable with the subway system.
