Hello everyone, I am a college-educated nanny with 4.5 years of early childhood teaching experience as 9 years of volunteer teaching and test-prep for older children aged 7-15. Most recently, I have been a loving and supportive nanny for two amazing and exceptionally bright grade-school-aged sisters.

Sadly, due to Covid-19, my current work-family will be away for an unspecified amount of time. That being said, I am looking for another opportunity to meet new faces and begin another exciting adventure in the meantime!

Qualifications: At my current position, my most notable responsibilities include: selecting appropriate extracurricular activities, homework/ project assistance, facilitating play, and confidence-building. In one of my past positions, as a nanny to twin baby girls, I was responsible for their overall education, adhering to the daily feeding schedule, preparing bottles and meals, bathing, taking children to and from appointments and classes, age-appropriate field trips, monitoring physical activity, and light housework.

In the past, I worked in a school that was housed in a federal building. Since the qualifications to work inside are stringent, I have a spotless record and background. While I was there I taught and presided over classrooms of ages 4 months to 5 years, my strengths reside in managing challenging behaviors, such as 2-year-old tantrums. That being said, I have spent most of my teaching career in classrooms with children in transitional ages, 10 months to 1.5 years, and 1.5 to 3 years old. While many have credited my “limitless patience” for my success in this area, I have found that if you genuinely listen to what a child has to say and empathize with them, they are less likely to feel the need to resort to such behaviors.

So why do I teach? I honestly love it! Teaching allows you to share in some of the most inspiring moments of a child’s life. Facilitating that “ah-ha!” moment be it learning to crawl or finally untangling that math problem is what makes all the effort worthwhile.

Education: Currently taking a double major in Financial Economics and Fraud Examination.

Athletic Activities: I love to stay active and believe that adults should foster a love for movement in their children by exposing them to all types of gross motor activities. I enjoy cycling, bouldering/rock climbing, and yoga.

Languages spoken: English.

Additional services: Light housekeeping, Swimming supervision, Crafts, Potty training, and Travel with family.
