Hello, I’m Francie Cohen, a 20-year-old Culture and Media student at The New School. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I had the opportunity to work with three amazing families in the same neighborhood as a summer nanny for two years. It all began when the first family’s mother referred me to her sisters, who needed reliable assistance. Impressed by my care for their children, they kindly recommended me. This introduction allowed me to become the trusted caregiver for all three families, bringing me immense joy.
I had the privilege of spending time with each sister’s three children, ranging from 3 months to 8 years old, on a daily basis. From morning routines to evening activities, I prioritized their safety, well-being, and happiness. I created a nurturing environment where the children could learn, grow, and have fun. As a nanny, I took on various responsibilities, including planning age-appropriate activities, preparing nutritious meals, assisting with homework, organizing playdates, and maintaining a tidy living space. Open communication with parents and children was essential to ensure everyone’s needs were met and exceeded.
Beyond my friendship with my close friend who has Down Syndrome, my dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities is evident in my active involvement in special needs events. I provide care and assistance to both children and adults, seeking to positively impact their lives. These experiences have reinforced my commitment to making a difference in their lives, which I bring to my role as a nanny. I believe that all children, regardless of their abilities, deserve love, care, and support.
In addition to my childcare experience, I have intermediate proficiency in Sign Language and basic knowledge of French. I enjoy being active, engaging in creative activities, cooking, and baking. I’m also willing to assist with errands, laundry, meal prepping, cleaning, homework help, and light tutoring. When with your children, my focus is on ensuring they have fun while learning etiquette, respect, and other valuable life skills. Fostering independence and good habits is important to me.
I’m flexible with dates and will do my best to accommodate your family’s schedule. While I currently reside in the Tribeca, I’m willing to travel. If you have any questions or would like to discuss further, please reach out. I’m excited about the opportunity to work with your family!
