Hi there! I am Carolina Parekh, a recent Cornell graduate who has lived in five countries and speaks four languages. I value creativity, curiosity and persistence and would love to instil those qualities in your children! Although I have a Bachelor’s in Architecture, I have always had a passion for child engagement, starting from being the oldest of four children. I grew up in Brussels, Belgium and throughout high school, I taught and cared for children of different ages through multiple organisations.

I combined my passion for architecture and design with my love for interacting with children by volunteering to run the elementary school art club. I would present an arts and crafts activity to a group of 30 children, and once the activity started, I would help them execute their concepts and ideas through individual support. I brought the communication skills I learned through teaching art club to my work with the after-school babysitting program.

Additionally, I was a swim instructor and taught groups of three preschool-aged children at a beginner level up to groups of 15 middle-school-aged children at the highest swim school level. As a swim instructor and varsity swim team captain, I facilitated junior swim meets and was considered a role model within the swimming community. I also taught skiing in English, French, Italian, and Spanish to groups of up to five children during my winters in Crans Montana, Switzerland. I would like to bring my language expertise to teaching your children.
