I first began working with children through babysitting jobs here and there, but my first job working with children was in 2008 at a childcare center. I was an Assistant Teacher/Caregiver in the toddler room, therefore I worked with children ages 2-3. That job made me fall in love with working with children. I’ve always enjoyed playing with children and babysitting them but this job just put a smile on my face every day. My next job working with children was at a summer camp with children ages 5-12 and another summer camp this summer at a child care center where I am a camp counselor. I enjoy it very much because it gives me a chance to use my creative skills with the children in lessons with sports and arts and crafts as well as reading and writing that focus more on academic learning. I have babysitting/nanny experience with children from newborns all the way to 14 years old. I currently work at Valleyview Middle School in Watchung as a Special Education Paraprofessional.
