My name is Michaela Flaherty and work as an ABA/ SEIT therapist. I take care and provide therapy to children on the autism spectrum and children with emotional disorders. I am a graduate of Pace university and went for Communication Sciences and Disorders with minors in teaching and art. I became a liscensed babysitter 7 years ago by taking classes at Hallmark Health. I previously babysat after my full time job ( nights and weekends) but the child grew old enough to stay home alone! I have worked 120 hours in a special education elementary school providing speech therapy and 100 supervised hours in the Pace University speech clinic giving speech therapy to children ranging from ages 3-20 yrs. I am also very good with animals, having volunteered at two animal shelters for the past five years every week. I have a younger brother and pets, whichI am very used to babysitting and taking care of! I currently work 35 hours a week with two 2 yr olds on the autism spectrum and one 5 yr old with emotional disturbance and sensory processing difficiencies. I am extraordinary accustomed to difficult behavior and combining compassion and sternness with children, so they will be safe with me :) .
