Hi! My name is Charlotte Cwikowski and I am a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College. I have been babysitting since I was thirteen and I also have a younger brother whom I care for frequently. I was a camp counselor for five and six year old girls for a summer, I ran a science day camp for children 5-9, and I babysit on the regular. I am a licensed driver and am willing to drive to and from work, as well as drive kids to activities.
I love working with children. At college, I taught theatre to kids ranging from 5-9 years old on Satuday mornings through a program called Theatre Outreach. I also worked at a local high school on Fridays teaching theatre to kids from troubled homes. I have also taught three bullying workshops at local elementary schools teaching kids ways to stop bullying through theatre games and improvisation. Working with kids is a joy to me and I hope to pursue a career working with children in the future.
I am currently enrolled in a Five Year Masters program called the Art of Teaching at Sarah Lawrence College. I worked at the Early Childhood Center at Sarah Lawrence with two and three year olds. In the fall I student taught in a second grade classroom at Ella Baker School. This semester I will be in a fifth grade classroom at Mamaroneck Ave School in WHite Plains. I will graduate in 2016 with my Masters in teaching and my teaching certification for early childhood and elementary education.
I am a kid at heart and love to play. I love creating and I love watching kids create.
