As a mother, I went through the ordeal of hiring (and firing) babysitters that catered to my needs as well as to my child’s needs. I found myself stressed out at work having to leave earlier than my shift permitted because my child’s babysitter did not arrive on time to pick up my child from school, I couldn’t have a night to myself with friends because in the back of my mind I wondered if my child was actually in good hands.
