I am currently working for Keystone Human Services working with people that are Intellectually Disabled, Mental Health Services, Autism, Child and Family Services. I am Senior Community Support Specialist where I run a household of two wonderful men. In our house I make sure that they are supported through community based- services. My staff is able to support them in activities of daily living through bathing, dressing, hygeine, preparing all meals throghout the day and as part as my training I am also a Medication Technician. I am able to drive them to and from Doctors appointments and schedule appointments when needed. I take care of all financial needs and keep a record of what is being spent and budgeting their money. I also do alot of administrative work aside from caring one on one with the individuals.
In my experiences with childcare I have two teenage children of my own. I am a single mother and have cared for family members children . I have also done babysitting and childcare where I was given the opportunity to care for other people’s children. I am comfortable with all ages and can do just about any job given to me. In my past employment I was a Substitute Teacher working in High School and Middle school and Elementary School. I have also chaperoned school trips and athletic events. I worked for Children and Family Services where I was employed as an Intervenor, I stepped in and was a role-model for children after school and cared for them so that their parents could have free time for themselves or to take parenting classes. I was also a parent -helper where I would go and clean the houses, teach the parents how to cook and how to provide positive support to their children. I also took the children to activities and showed them healthy ways to interact with others and provided them with positive role-models. I am CPR certified and have all my background clearances and they are all up to date, copies are given upon request, as well as my resume is given upon request.
