My name is Melissa Kanoff and I am currently going into my sophomore year at the University of Texas in Austin. This summer I will be living in Great Neck, New York. I have been a sleepaway camp counselor, at Camp Pontiac, for 3 years. In my junior and senior year of high school I was an officer for a club, REACH, (Responsible Educated Adolescents Can Help), where I talked with elementary school children about peer pressure, self-esteem, and decision making. I am a certified mentor for children with disabilities as well! I have worked with teachers helping to improve the literacy program of some inner city schools in New Jersey. I have also, along side my mom, created an organization that provides foster children with gifts for the holidays. As seen, I absolutely love children and I am extremely energetic and outgoing!!
