Hi, I go by Ash. I grew up in a big family blended by divorce, so babysitting has always been something I’ve done but never got paid for it! One of my mother’s cousins had 13 children, and my sister and I would be tasked with handling them on the occasion. I currently do not have a CPR certification but should be able to sign up for training through my school. I am a college student studying for a bachelor’s in journalism and a minor in Spanish. I’ve been at Tarrant County College, and fall ‘25 will be my last semester. I have worked for the school newspaper for a year now, and am excited to return in the fall as editor-in-chief. I’ve already been accepted into UTA and will transfer to complete my studies in the spring semester. I’ve taken many courses at TCC before deciding to dedicate my studies to writing. Biology, algebra, calculus, government and philosophy, I’ve taken it all and am seasoned enough to help with homework. Not only that, but have a plethora of fun activities in my back pocket to entertain with knowledge and not a T.V. Coloring, painting, puzzles, music and dancing are ways I usually occupy my own time anyway. Also, as a writer, I usually have to think on the fly, so coming up with an imaginative world for a child isn’t too difficult! I love to cook and eat all my vegetables. I meal prep and can whip up almost anything with minimal ingredients. Also, I’m a big fan of oatmeal. I am very active and maintain a consistent workout routine along with my studies. When it comes to getting kids moving I won’t have much issue. I love being outside, and I set alarms for myself to reapply sunscreen. So if that is a concern, don’t worry, it’s mine as well. I hope to have a summer job to get me by as I can’t work for the paper while school is not in session. However, I am the worst at saying goodbye. If a relationship built with a family becomes strong, I can say I will do my best to continue supporting during the school year as best as I can.
