Hello! My name is Ashley Ahazie. I am 22 years old and a current nursing student at Rutgers University. My love for children stemmed eight years ago when I was granted the opportunity as a Sunday school teacher at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship. Since then and up to now, I have taught all classes of children between the ages of 3 and 15 as well as watched children under the age of one to two years old. In 2017, I worked as a patient monitor at RWJ-Barnabas hospital where I cared for patients of various ages and conditions. Currently, I work at a pediatric doctor’s office in North Brunswick where I care for children as I do their physical exams as well as clerical work. I am also CPR certified. These opportunities have instilled patience, empathy and responsibility in me which are necessary traits when dealing with people from all walks of life and I will continue to express these traits in all situations.
