My name is Melissa and I recently moved to Dallas this past year, and I currently live in the State Thomas neighborhood. I have experience being a full-time nanny and babysitter on and off for the last 8 years while in school/working. I babysat for many families in Memphis, TN in high school and early college. My first part-time nannying job was in college in Knoxville, TN in 2019. I took care of 3 children ages 4, 6, & 9. I ran errands, completed household chores, took them to sports practices and school, and to their country club to swim during the summer. My second part-time nannying job was when I moved back home to Memphis after nursing school from 2021-2023. I was with this family for a year and a half, and the mother had a newborn during this time. I was in charge of some overnight stays, feeding, diaper changes, tummy time, etc.
I have been a pediatric nurse for going on 4 years now. I just recently was a travel nurse for a year and a half, but decided to settle down in Dallas and pursue a nannying career for a bit (Im a little burnt out from bedside nursing). I have taken care of children all ages from birth-18 years old. I am CPR/PALS/ACLS certified.

My schedule is very flexible at this time, and I am comfortable with children of all ages and care/health needs. Ideally, I am looking for a full-time nannying position.

I love working with kids because I love watching them grow and learn and help their unique personalities flourish while having the privilege to be a part in their childhood memories! I am willing to help with all homework up through 5th grade level. I excel at math (I received a 5 on my AP Calculus exam in high school).

In my spare time, I like to read books, go to Pilates classes, bake, and cuddle with my cat, Teddy! I grew up with dogs, and I am comfortable around all animals/pets (except snakes!). I ran the St. Jude Half Marathon 2 years ago, and love to be active with the kiddos I take care of.
