Hello!

My name is Chelsea. I graduated from Miami University in December of 2013. I received a BA in Journalism, and Communication, and completed a minor in Middle East and Islamic Studies. I speak French and Arabic, and know a little Spanish (in addition to my native English, obviously). I studied abroad in Morocco for a semester, as well. Incredibly awesome experience.

I’ve had various jobs throughout my life, and am currently a freelance writer for the Dayton City Paper (although I live in Cincinnati). With that said, freelancing doesn’t pay the bills, and so I’m looking for other employment. I have a lot of experience with children of all ages.

I am the oldest of three; my two younger brothers are 15 and 5 (I’m 23…big age gaps!). I’ve been babysitting them since they were born – especially the five year old. I’ve also been babysitting children that aren’t my family since I was 14. I’ve had experience with infants, all the way to middle school, when it comes to non-family. I have a valid driver’s license and transportation. I am a non-smoker and am very comfortable with pets. Grew up with a dog and a cat!

One of the coolest things I think I’ve done (it made me feel good) was when I taught one of the girls I babysat to swim. I was watching her, her little sister and older brother, one summer, and taught her to swim. It was the coolest thing. Their mother wanted me to come back the next summer to watch the kids and teach the youngest to swim, but I was working elsewhere.
