I’m a writer/journalist with extensive experience in handling children of all ages. I’ve worked in several roles that involve care-taking, from babysitting to classroom instruction. I moved to Chicago to attend graduate school at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and over the past few years, I have worked as an art instructor for their Children’s Programs. At SAIC, I was significantly involved in doing everything from crating curriculum to planning and conducting stimulating activities and field trips including museums and parks as well as activities involving reading, arts and playtime. I have worked with both large groups of young kids as well smaller households. My career goal has always been to work in education, and early and mid childhood instruction is a big part of my focus and experience. I have developed programs and curriculum for both diverse age groups and specific ages. I am currently available for temporary care-taking positions for the summer, and I look forward to being able to create a great environment for both the family I work for and the children I work with.
