I have worked with several different age groups of children in daycares, after school programs, and babysitting since early high school. Most recently, for 6 months, I worked with a daycare program, specifically with 2 and 3-year-old children. I helped with a variety of activities, including reading, play time indoors and out, arts and crafts, activities to enhance basic cognitive skills, and basic household manners and etiquette as well as organizing the classroom and serving meals. For 10 months, I worked with an after school program at a non-profit, with kids anywhere from Kindergarten through fifth grade. However, most of my weekly hours were with 3rd through 5th grade, the largest group at the agency. I helped with homework, but also facilitated learning activities, reading, as well as crafts projects and trips to the park. I also have some experience babysitting three children, ages 3, 9, and 13 together. I love to work with children to help them learn in any way I can, while making sure they are in a fun and safe environment.
