Hi, my name is MaKayla, and I am 24 years old. At 17 years old, my first job in 2017 was being a summer camp counselor at my church for children ages 2-5. I continued working at the summer camp in 2018 and 2019, and I was able to work with kids of all ages. I love being a sitter because I truly enjoy working with children and being a positive part of their growth and development. I find it rewarding to create a safe, fun, and supportive environment where kids can learn, play, and feel cared for. I love bringing creativity and patience into activities, whether its helping with homework, playing games, or encouraging healthy routines. What makes the role most meaningful to me is knowing that I can support both the children and their parents by providing reliable, compassionate care. I am First Aid and CPR trained. I love to go above and beyond because I like to see other people happy. I also have a younger sister in high school, but I’ve always babysat her while growing up. I am able to help with homework, errands, household chores, and anything else that needs tending to.
