My name is Evelyn Sotelo, I’m currently a student at Aveda to become a licensed esthetician. Im a barista/coffee specialist at Cosi during weekdays. And on weekends Im a house keeper over at Glenview. I have always had an interest in becoming a full time caregiver. I am ready To take anytime off my regular schedule, and change things up for this special opportunity to become someone’s babysitter. I enjoy being around kids and babies. I believe that I have the patience, and energy to not only be around them, but to actually take care of them as if they were my own. I began to baby sit when my little brother was born and my mom had to go to work. After my experience with my brother, babysitting began to grow on me. I learned a lot through him and my mother. I became the babysitter of the family. I have a two year experience with one of my friend’s kids. I would babysit from 4pm to 10pm. I would feed, change, and shower them every night. I made sure to always follow any special instructions that I needed to follow while being with them. Through that experience alone I realized that I gravitated very well towards babies, toddlers, and kids. Unfortunately I do not have any certifications, or training. I also do not have any kids of my own, because I want to finish school first and be well settled. So for now babysitting is perfect for me. I also know that becoming a pre-k teacher is one of my life goals.
