I currently teach third grade and have experience working in kindergarten, first grade (in two classrooms), fifth, and sixth grade. Ive also spent three years working in daycaresserving as the lead teacher for school-age kids during the summer and floating between classrooms during the school year, giving me experience with every age group. While finishing my degree, I nannied for two families and loved becoming part of their daily lives.
Because of my background in education, I can do so much more than just childcareI can also support your childs academic growth in fun and engaging ways. Whether it’s building early literacy through Heggerty and phonics or helping older students stay on top of their homework, I bring the skills of a certified teacher right to your home. Im passionate about helping kids feel confident, and I always make learning feel like play.
My classroom is a place where students feel seen and supported, and I bring that same energy to every family I work with. Ive built amazing relationships over the yearsso much so that every spring, the second graders track me down to say they hope Im their teacher next year. Many of my past students still reach out to tell me Im their favorite teacher, which means the world to me.
