Hi I’m Bridget! I’m 24 years old and living in the Lakeview area of Chicago. I’ve been nannying for 6 years and babysitting for 10. I’ve worked with ages ranging from newborn – 13 and I love them all!

For 5 years I nannyed for twins(Z and G) starting when they were 8y/o and leaving when they were 13 y/o. I was in charge of school pick ups and drop offs, meals, laundry, helping with homework, extra curricular activity transportation and light housekeeping. I have also watched them over longs weekends while their parents traveled. I had to leave Z and G because I was ready to live downtown and they lived in the western suburbs. Also, as they reached 13 I was needed much less so the commute for the amount of hours didn’t make much sense for me. I got a beautiful range of experiences and training on this job and I am still very close with the family.

While in the suburbs I also spent summer afternoons while the twins were at camp or on vacation as a part time nanny for A(9) and L(2). I did this for 2 years and learned how to keep kids of such different ages entertained and mentally stimulated! Quite a feat for me haha. I also prepared meals, handled nap routine, and transportation.

When I arrived in Lakeview I was lucky enough to find 2 wonderful families to work for. For 6 months I nannyed for J (3.5) and handled pick up and drop off from daycare, meals, bathtime, and bedtime. During the day while he was at daycare I began as a mother’s helper for L (2) and M (6months). I have been with them for close to a year now, beginning before M was even born! I have received amazing infant experience and training.

I’m planning to return to school soon so I left J’s family but remain close with them as an occasional babysitter. I needed some more time to focus on my future. I am currently still with L and M’s family but he will be starting preschool in a matter of weeks and I’ll only be needed a couple mornings a week. L and M’s mom recommended I join sitter city so here I am in hopes of finding a new, wonderful family to work with!

Rate: $14/hour – $20/hour
