Hi! My name is Whitney! I spend my days doing a few different things. I work as a freelance video editor and a host at a restaurant on the weekends. I previously spent the last 6 years in a 9-5 office job as a video producer. Before moving to the city 9 years ago I worked for the city Im from as a soccer coach for kids 4-6 and 9-11 during the summer months. Ive watched kids ages 3 months to age 14. Growing up I was in girl scouts and FFA (Future Farmers of America) and a lot of what I have learned there I apply to the type of baby sitting I provide a child. I think providing something new to learn wether big or small is a fun way to keep the day fun with a little bit of structure. I also can provide a quiet and calm environment when needed for nap time or evening wind down. I love reading, drawing, sewing, cooking, piano and playing sports. Im very well traveled in the city and know how to get anywhere on a bus or subway. The reason I am looking for a baby sitting role is because I enjoy teaching and learning and I think children also love both those things. I also enjoy doing my other creative pursuits and baby sitting is a great way to balance it all.
