Over the past seven years I have worked with a wide range of children of all age groups in just about every field. At a young age i was very interested in working with kids and got involved in summer youth where i worked as a camp counselor taking part in daily academic and fun activities such as dance, arts and crafts, math and English. I also assisted in dance class at Miss Audrey’s Dance Studio. Here i assisted with routines and kept the children organized and attentive. Along time I personally baby sat for multiple parents with children who had learning disabilities such as autism and dyslexia. Working one on one has also been a favorite for me to gain a trusting relationship with the child. Within the past year i became a teacher’s assistant for the D.O.E. where i obtained my Mandated Reporter certificate and was finger printed by the D.O.E. and the NYPD for background check. As a teacher’s Assistant it was absolutely wonderful working with 19 little pre-schooler’s. This job role consisted of participating in Circle time where the children would identify the day, date, month, weather and season. I assisted in everything the head teacher needed help with. Math, Science, History, English, Writing and Arts and Crafts were all a part of our daily routine as well as outside activities, dance and yoga. I learned how to maintain a sanitary and safe environment as well as a fun environment . My seven years experience has made me the professional i am today and motivates me to work further with children. My personal specialties are in arts and crafts and creative movement as those were always my favorite interests as a child and still are still to this day. I was always meant to work with children and always loved every job where i had the opportunity to gain relationships and impact a child’s life.
