I recently graduated from the Honors Program at Fordham University and will begin an accelerated nursing program at Villanova University in the fall. I have experience babysitting children on the Mainline, on the Upper West and East sides of Manhattan, and have worked with children in the Bronx.
In my work with special needs children in the Bronx, I applied my knowledge of behavior analysis to the classroom with compassion and patience. I helped these children to learn through support and praise. As most of the children in my classroom were non-verbal, this learning was encouraged with everything from smiles, hugs, high fives, and clapping. I needed to continuously move and adjust to evolving situations in the classroom and I enjoyed this dynamic position at the preschool. I have also mentored at a girl’s center in the Bronx where I tutored and taught cooking class to 8-14 year olds. In my free time, I love to cook, paint, and run.
