I love children and enjoy having fun with them and making them smile. It’s the highlight of my day but it doesn’t mean I’m not stern when necessary. I try to teach whatever I can that’s positive and helpful towards their development. I am willing to be there for the parent longer if it’s needed so they can have a break when they come from work or school, etc. I’m not the type of sitter to leave as soon as the parent walks in the door unless there’s a prearrangement. It’s understandable that they need some time to settle in when they come home.
