I became Red Cross babysitter certified during 7th grade and have kept my CPR and first aid certification up to date. I began babysitting for a co-worker of my father, and then was recommended to their friends culminating a list of 10 frequent clients. I babysat on weekends, weekdays and overnights-sometimes I watched for multiple families within this group. I prepare meals, help with homework and housework and ensured that toys and all other faculties were picked up after they were used. I enjoy playing outside, inventing entertaining and educational games and being active with the kids. I find it most fun to imagine and create games together. I have cared for children from 2 months old to 13 years, in addition to dogs and cats! I am extremely outgoing and have a penchant for multitasking. I am excited to meet new families and create a trusting and secure bond between one another and the children.
I will be graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in Chemistry and Cultural Health Sciences in May. I am then moving to Boston to pursue my graduate degree in molecular pharmacology and experimental therapeutics at Boston University. In addition my babysitting, I have volunteered in after school literacy and science mentoring programs since high school through college.
