Write a messageHi! My name is Jordan and I am a political science student at Northeastern University, though I spent the past two years studying early education. I have experience with children of all ages and needs. Besides babysitting for a multitude of families in Upstate New York during high school, I also served as a full time nanny for a family with four boys ages 2 weeks to 11 years old for a year and half. Since moving to Boston, I have been an occasional babysitter for several local families. I have also served as a team leader for an early literacy Jumpstart program in a classroom in Roxbury as well as teaching an after-school program focused on learning peaceful conflict resolution in a second grade classroom, where I learned beginner Spanish (I also speak conversational German). While my preference is to watch five or fewer children, I have cared for up to ten children at one time before, and have a lot of classroom management experience, which translates very well to situations like these.
I absolutely love being around children, and have found that every single child has something amazing to teach each of us. Nothing makes me happier than creating a meaningful relationship with a child that allows them to grow, learn, and explore their own worlds in a safe environment.
