I have a Masters Degree in School Psychology from the University of Hartford. I am working towards additional certifications in school neuropsychology and applied behavior analysis. I have extensive experience working with children in multiple settings. I have been employed as a babysitter/nanny/mother’s helper throughout my undergraduate and graduate school career. I have worked in middle schools, elementary schools, pre-schools, after school daycares and summer camps. I have also been employed as a special education paraprofessional, assistant ABA therapist, and have completed nearly 1,000 hours clinical practicum hours in schools. I am skilled at executing appropriate discipline, reinforcing elimination of negative behavior, and providing encouragement and motivation to improve children’s overall conduct, motivation and behavior. I have provided direct instructional support to students on an individual and small group basis and promoted student growth and development across academic, social, and behavioral domains. I have experience in working with students of various special needs and abilities, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, blindness, autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual deficiency, physical handicaps, and a variety of mental health disorders. I have experience in teaching and monitoring daily living skills, from bathroom routines, to self-help skills, social skills, and practicing occupational and physical therapy.
