I have a Masters Degree in School Psychology from the University of Hartford. I am working towards additional certifications in school neuropsychology and applied behavior analysis. I have extensive experience working with children in multiple settings. I have been employed as a babysitter/nanny/mother’s helper throughout my undergraduate and graduate school career. I have worked in middle schools, elementary schools, pre-schools, after school daycares and summer camps. I have also been employed as a special education paraprofessional, assistant ABA therapist, and have completed nearly 1,000 hours clinical practicum hours in schools. I have administered various cognitive and behavioral assessments and counseling services to numerous special education students and incorporated data into reports for useful recommendations that have improved their overall academic and behavioral functioning. I am patient, dedicated, and creative in providing appropriate intervention and service to children, with a proven record of significant behavioral improvements and satisfaction among students and their families. I am skilled at executing appropriate discipline, reinforcing elimination of negative behavior, and providing encouragement and motivation to improve children’s overall conduct, motivation and behavior. I have provided direct instructional support to students on an individual and small group basis and promoted student growth and development across academic, social, and behavioral domains. I have experience in working with students of various special needs and abilities, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, blindness, autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual deficiency, physical handicaps, and a variety of mental health disorders. I have experience in teaching and monitoring daily living skills, from bathroom routines, to self-help skills, social skills, and practicing occupational and physical therapy.
