I am currently a first year student with a major in nursing and a minor in Spanish. I am studying to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. I have been caring for children part-time for more than 6 years now, and I have experience with ages 6 mths.-13 yrs. I appreciate the importance of nourishing children emotionally, intellectually, and physically. I love reading books with kids, getting them outside, going on adventures, making arts and crafts or cooking recipes, making music, playing imaginary games, and doing other creative activities together! In my free time I enjoy singing, dancing, painting, and doing yoga. I hope to not only be a reliable, trustworthy, caring babysitter, but to inspire children to pursue their interests and express themselves freely. I believe that we all can learn from children and that there is nothing more rewarding than providing them with a good role model, clear boundaries, and creative freedom, as a babysitter. I have formed a close bond with all of the children I have babysat for regularly in the past and would be happy to provide the families as references.
