I’m a St. John’s University Alumna, and I will be pursuing my Master’s Degree in the fall at Teacher’s College, Columbia University. I love kids, and I’m great with all ages.

I’ve previously worked with Jumpstart AmeriCorps program where I promoted academic and behavioral support and educated small groups of children ages 2 to 5 on language and literacy skills to help prepare them for kindergarten.
I have volunteered for 4-H summer camps as a counselor to students ages 7-12. In addition, as a former employee of The Child Centerof New York and SAYA After-School Program, I served as a Counselor supervising and tutoring preschool to elementary level students. I’m also mentor (Big Sister) at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. I started the program with my little sister (mentee) who is nine years old, and I’ve served as her big sister since she was five. I love children, and I enjoy every minute spent with them. My many years of child mentoring , student engagement, camp counseling, and group leader experience contributed to my caregiver skills. My greatest strength is building strong relationships and keeping children engaged. I am compassionate, dedicated, fun, responsible and most importantly, trustworthy.
I’ve taught kids how to potty train to how to tie their shoes. I focus on teaching language and literacy skills with fun activities. From dress up to puzzles and reading time. I love working with kids, they’re the highlight of my day— tears, hugs, diaper changing, mentoring and laughs. My favorite activity is making baked goods. I prepare meals, and I am able to do light house work. With parents permission, I love to plan outings to encourage interactive activities.
My experience in childcare shows my commitment, responsibility, and my ability to care for children of all ages. I am known by former employers for my creativity, resourcefulness, and reliability.
I’ve worked with the same family for the past two years until they recently moved to Europe. I cared for 1 nine year old and 2 beautiful five year old twin girls.

I am available to interview this week (July 18-22nd), and I am available to start on August 4th. Please message me or email me at biancammatthew@yahoo.com, and I’d be more than happy to share my resume to you.
