My love for working with children was sparked a few months ago when I began working for a private school in downtown Manhattan. I had completed my two week trial at the job when they offered me a per diem position. Unfortunately my life required something a little bit more stable and I was unable to continue with the company. I know it is difficult finding a job in which you have little to no professional experience but that will not cease my efforts. Working with the kids for those two short weeks awoke a passion and a love for children I hadn’t known I had before. Although I have not professionally worked with kids for a long period of time I am very well equipped for a babysitting job. Along with helping raise my two nieces and nephew for the past 13 years, I have done volunteer work with children during missions trips, Sunday Schools, etc. I know how to think quick on my feet, how to resolve situations in a safe and resilient manor, how to entertain children with something as simple as a song, and how to care for children of all ages.
